Welcome to Grey Wolf Fly Fishing Club

The aims of our club are:
  1. Learn about fly fishing areas to fish within a day’s drive
  2. Fly tying
  3. Promote and support a youth fly fishing camp where we provide a scholarship
  4. Support and donate to the wounded warrior program
  5. Good camaraderie.
For 2013 our meetings and social events are held at the Gardiner Community Center in Gardiner (see map) on the second Wednesday of each month. A regular meeting will usually provide the following:
  • At 6:00pm a meal prepared by our members (could be hamburgers or chowder or maybe just dessert).
  • A fly tying demonstration by a member or a guest fly-tyer, usually of a fly that works in our local area.
  • At 7:00pm the business meeting, including, discussions of how the fishing has been in the area and fishing reports by the members.
The club schedules either a guest speaker to discuss fishing-related topics or a video relating to fishing, flies and how they react, or great places to go fishing, or possibly, a member presentation of a fishing trip. The club is active in procuring fishing items to raffle at the meetings. These could be reels, rods and/or flies or other fishing goodies. Additionally, monthly as weather allows, the club tries to have an outing, usually close by, but sometimes there are trips within one day’s drive. Once a year the club hosts a banquet including a large club raffle; we invite everyone to participate. This year the banquet was held on the 9th of March at the Gardiner Community Center.
